Michelle works as an AIM Platform Intern, developing standards technical content. She engages with a range of stakeholders to establish a credible, data-informed approach to addressing value chain-aligned mitigation guidance.
Prior to joining GMA, Michelle worked in research and program management. Her early career in sustainable design and stewardship informs her systems thinking and design thinking capabilities - skills that she now applies to decarbonization initiatives. Drawing on her interdisciplinary foundation, Michelle facilitated a climate strategy and brainstorming session with Navy leaders to expand envisioned milestones to achieve net-zero carbon emissions, which resulted in the Navy’s current Climate Action Plan. She’s also developed and delivered educational content to thousands on topics such as solar energy adoption/defense and energy justice.
Michelle graduates this summer ‘25 with a Master of Science in Environment and Sustainability Management from Georgetown University. She holds an MFIS and a BA from Kent State University. In addition to her academic background, Michelle has earned several certifications from organizations such as the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Sustainability Leadership, Greenhouse Gas Protocol, and Bloomberg. She is based in Washington, D.C. (Eastern Time Zone).
