Jakob is a Senior Program Associate at GMA, where he supports the design and execution of complex decarbonization initiatives within the GMA Trucking Program. He brings over five years of experience in corporate sustainability and climate consulting, with core expertise in technical environmental assessments, decarbonization strategy development, and voluntary and regulated carbon markets. Prior to joining GMA, Jakob served as a Manager at ClimeCo, where he specialized in lifecycle assessments (LCA), greenhouse gas accounting, and emerging low-carbon technologies such as carbon capture and storage (CCS) for hard-to-abate sectors. His work focused on supporting large corporate clients through data-driven quantitative analysis to evaluate and improve environmental performance. Earlier in his career, Jakob worked at Xpansiv, where he helped accelerate decarbonization in the transportation sector by operationalizing Low Carbon Fuel Standards (LCFS) across North America. Jakob holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Northwestern University, with a minor in Architectural Engineering and Design and a certificate in Sustainability and Energy. He is based in Portland, Oregon.
