Clayton serves as a Program Manager at GMA, where he leads sectoral initiatives to design market-based initiatives and systems to drive resources towards decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors. He leverages his sustainability consulting and economic background to bring an analytical, strategic, and environmental perspective to program design. Clayton manages GMA’s program on heavy-duty trucking, GMA Trucking, as well as the cement and concrete program.
Prior to GMA, Clayton was a consultant at ENGIE Impact helping corporate clients establish, plan for, and operationalize their GHG reduction strategy. He specialized in market-based mechanisms for innovative technologies and transportation fleet decarbonization across industries such as technology, consumer products, and semiconductors. Before that, he was a consultant at Novantas (now Curinos) advising financial institutions on their pricing strategy and network transformation.
Clayton holds a BA in Economics with a minor in Sustainability and Environmental Management from the University of Pennsylvania. He is based in Oakland.
