The Center for Green Market Activation™ (GMA) is a U.S.-based, globally focused nonprofit launched in June 2024. Through innovative book-and-claim systems, creative procurement approaches, and aggregated buyers’ alliances, GMA accelerates the uptake of low- and zero-carbon goods and services across hard-to-abate sectors. Our organizational model blends cross-cutting technical expertise with sector-specific programs, allowing companies to rapidly scale Scope 3 mitigation efforts across aviation, maritime, trucking, concrete, chemicals, and more. In 2023, GMA launched GMA Trucking, a buyers’ alliance designed to accelerate decarbonization of the heavy-duty trucking sector by driving investment in and adoption of zero-emission (ZE) vehicles. GMA Trucking pools demand from climate-leading companies and partners with carriers, OEMs, and charging and fueling providers to develop real-world projects that deploy battery-electric (BEV) and fuel-cell electric (FCEV) trucks. The Analyst/Associate will play a central role in enabling the next phase of growth for this initiative and will work directly with key stakeholders across the trucking decarbonization ecosystem. Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Heavy-Duty Trucking Program Analyst/Associate will provide critical coordination, research, analytical, and administrative support to the GMA Trucking team. This includes helping execute procurements, analyses, member engagement, and cross-functional projects. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the backbone of program operations, including anticipating needs, keeping workstreams organized, supporting technical and analytical tasks, and ensuring smooth stakeholder experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to GMA’s Heavy-Duty Trucking team, contributing to both technical content development and program execution under the direction of the Managing Director and Program Manager.
• Conduct and synthesize research and analysis on ZE trucking technologies, policy developments, cost trends, emissions accounting approaches, and market and infrastructure readiness. Develop clear, actionable summaries for internal and external audiences.
• Assist in the coordination of trucking procurement efforts, including scoping, data collection, supplier engagement tracking, and synthesis of bid evaluation results to inform program improvements.
• Develop compelling and visually effective presentation materials, including member briefings, supplier webinars, technical explainer decks, and internal strategy documents, with a strong emphasis on PowerPoint quality and clarity.
• Draft and edit content for member updates, procurement summaries, public-facing materials, and internal strategy documents, translating complex technical and market information into accessible, accurate language.
• Support member engagement activities, including preparing onboarding materials, drafting follow-up notes, tracking engagement, and helping coordinate workshops, meetings, and webinars.
• Assist with internal team coordination, data management, and document organization, ensuring high-quality recordkeeping and smooth program operations.
• Contribute to emissions, cost, and technical analyses, including preliminary data cleaning, TCO modeling support, emissions calculations support, and background research to inform decision-making.
• Support cross-programmatic collaboration, ensuring alignment, consistency, and knowledge sharing across GMA’s broader sectoral initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

• Strong commitment to addressing the climate crisis and interest in advancing zero-emission freight and heavy-duty transportation solutions.
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, environmental studies, sustainability, supply chain, public policy, economics, or a related field.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and research capabilities, with comfort handling quantitative and qualitative data.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, entrepreneurial, highly collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).

Preferred:

• 1–5 years of experience in a relevant climate, industrial, or policy-related field.
• Exposure to transportation, logistics, or clean mobility sectors.
• Familiarity with corporate climate commitments (e.g., Science Based Targets), Scope 3 accounting, or book-and-claim systems.
• Experience with procurement processes or bid evaluations.
• Experience developing visual content, dashboards, or structured analytical summaries.
• Master’s degree in a related field

Salary and Benefits

• Salary $59,000 - $115,000 dependent on qualifications and geographical location
• Eligibility for 15%+ year-end bonus
