Akhil is a Program Analyst at GMA, where he focuses on market-based decarbonization strategies for chemicals and fertilizer sectors, including high-value chemicals manufacturing and food systems applications. In his role, he supports strategic partnerships, research and analysis to accelerate the adoption of sustainable solutions across these industries. Prior to joining GMA, Akhil was a Sustainability Associate at OnePointFive, where he supported corporate decarbonization strategies through GHG accounting, climate risk assessment, and life cycle assessment. He also worked as a Research & Investment Associate at the Institute for Governance & Sustainable Development, where he analyzed climate mitigation projects and investment requirements in emerging markets. Akhil's experience spans climate finance, policy research, and cross-border climate solutions. His work has focused on bridging the gap between climate commitments and implementation through market-based approaches across developed and emerging markets. Akhil holds a BA in Government from Cornell University and an MPhil in Anthropocene Studies from the University of Cambridge. He is based in New York City.
